Most asked questions

Which stations serve Paris-Bordeaux trains?

High-speed trains run from Paris Montparnasse to Bordeaux Saint-Jean. Check the Montparnasse concourse and Saint-Jean exit.

01

Montparnasse to Bordeaux Saint-Jean

High-speed services leave Paris Montparnasse and arrive at Bordeaux Saint-Jean. Montparnasse is large and linked to the metro through corridors; Saint-Jean is south of the historic centre. Add access to the Paris concourse and the tram, bus or taxi in Bordeaux to the TGV time.

02

Montparnasse concourses

The station has several concourses and levels. Metro lines 4, 6, 12 and 13 serve Montparnasse-Bienvenüe, but the walk to platforms is not instant. Check Hall 1, 2 or 3 on the ticket and board; with baggage or reduced mobility, use the official map and lifts.

03

Arriving at Saint-Jean

Bordeaux Saint-Jean has three concourses; the official station page says Hall 3 closes earlier than Halls 1 and 2. The city-centre and Belcier-Euratlantique exits lead to different sides. Choose tram stop or taxi point for the hotel and name the exit for a meeting.

04

Booking for weekends and harvest season

Fridays, Sundays, holidays, major events and wine season raise demand. Book early for a fixed time, but compare the value of an exchangeable fare. For Saint-Émilion, Arcachon or the Médoc, Paris-Bordeaux is only the first segment.

05

Baggage and left luggage

Follow the operator's limits and label every bag. Gares & Connexions locates Bordeaux Saint-Jean left luggage in Hall 2, level -1; check hours and availability before building a day around it. A locker listing is not a guarantee of space.

06

The last kilometre

Use the TBM network or an official taxi for the historic centre; for the airport, check the current link and works. Do not collect a rental car only to drive in the urban core: take it when leaving for vineyards or the coast.
