Most asked questions
Which stations serve Paris-Lyon trains?
Services mainly run from Paris Gare de Lyon to Lyon Part-Dieu or Perrache. Choose the Lyon station for the final address.
Gare de Lyon to Part-Dieu or Perrache
TGV services mainly leave Paris Gare de Lyon. In Lyon, Part-Dieu is the major business and transport hub; Perrache better serves southern Presqu'île and some accommodation. Choose the arrival station for the final address, not only the headline journey time.
Understanding Gare de Lyon concourses
Paris Gare de Lyon has several concourses and levels, with metro and RER below. The platform and concourse appear on live screens; enter early enough not to cross the station as gates are closing. The official map distinguishes halls, street entrances and the RER level.

At Part-Dieu
The station has several exits; Béraudier-city centre and Villette lead to different sides. Metro, tram and bus stops are spread around it. Set a meeting point by exit name and use the official map for a connection rather than saying only 'outside the station'.
Tickets, frequency and price
The route is frequent, but peak, Friday and holiday trains can fill. Compare INOUI and OUIGO with baggage, station, time and flexibility included. A lower non-changeable fare can cost more if an earlier flight or appointment is not protected.
Connections in Lyon
Part-Dieu connects directly with urban transport and many TER services. For Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport, use the appropriate official link and calculate it separately; the city-centre TGV does not arrive at the terminal. For Annecy, Grenoble, Chambéry or the Alps, verify the onward station and TER buffer.
Day-of-travel check
Open SNCF Connect for the train, Gares & Connexions for the platform and TCL for metro or tram. Also verify whether the listed arrival is Part-Dieu, Perrache or Saint-Exupéry TGV. These official screens prevent most station and last-mile errors.
