Most asked questions
When is Paris Fashion Week 2026?
The Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear calendar runs from 28 September to 6 October 2026. Confirm times and formats on the FHCM calendar because the schedule can change.
Can the public attend Paris Fashion Week shows?
Most main shows are invitation-only. Public access comes through official livestreams, selected exhibitions, store events and separate brand registrations.
Can the shows be watched online?
Use digital broadcasts listed on the FHCM calendar and official house channels. Links are sometimes published close to show time.
The calendar is live: what it means for your stay
Checked 14 September 2026: FHCM has published the provisional season calendar. On 29 September it lists Dior at 14:30 with a livestream, followed by Maison Margiela at 17:30 and Saint Laurent at 21:00 with livestreams. Times are Paris local time and remain provisional. A digital listing is neither a ticket nor venue admission. Open the house’s official listing before committing your evening.
A fashion day in three parts
Start with one shopping district: Saint-Honoré to concentrate on fashion houses, or Saint-Germain to combine windows, bookshops and cafés. Then reserve a cultural visit after checking admission conditions. Keep a final slot for an official livestream. A boutique appointment does not grant runway access, and collections shown for 2027 are not necessarily on sale during your stay. For a bag, bring your everyday belongings and test the closure, loaded weight and carrying position before choosing.

Dates to know
The Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear season is scheduled from 28 September to 6 October 2026. The official calendar separates runway shows, presentations and digital broadcasts, and timings can still move. Use the FHCM page rather than an old social-media screenshot.
How to follow without an invitation
Most physical runway shows are invitation-only. The public can still watch many official livestreams, visit open installations and fashion exhibitions, and experience the atmosphere around the Palais de Tokyo, Louvre and major hotels. A private-message seller offering a supposed invitation is a warning sign.
How to read a collection
Start with silhouette: volume, length and proportion. Then look at fabric, colour and movement before focusing on bags and shoes. A strong collection is not one viral image; it builds a coherent vocabulary from first look to last.
Houses and emerging names
Major houses set the media tempo, while presentations, showrooms and emerging-designer programmes often reveal the ideas that will travel furthest. Compare a heritage house, an independent label and a recent graduate: Paris becomes a laboratory rather than a ranking.
Build a realistic week
Choose two digital shows, one exhibition, one shopping district and a single evening event. Leave time between venues: travel, checks and delays are part of the week. Fashion is also visible in windows, bookshops, schools and the street.
