10–19 September: 500 participants at 320 venues

Paris Design Week returns for ten days from Thursday 10 to Saturday 19 September 2026. The organiser lists 500 participants across 320 venues, including showrooms, galleries, studios, museums and exceptional spaces. This is a city trail rather than one exhibition hall. Pick a district and two priorities first, then confirm hours and registration requirements on each participant’s official listing before travelling.

02

Four districts for a day that actually works

The programme is arranged around four territories: Rive Gauche; Marais–Bastille–République; Opéra–Concorde–Étoile; and Palais-Royal–Place des Victoires–Pigalle. Do not try to cover all four in one day. The Left Bank suits an art-of-living and institutional route; the Marais concentrates galleries and emerging work; Opéra and Palais-Royal combine heritage, established houses and installations. Leave at least twenty minutes between nearby stops.

03

Nine themed walks instead of an endless address list

The official site offers nine promenades to filter hundreds of addresses by interest. Visible routes include Art & Design, Design à table, Design sur cours, Iconic, Parcours AD, Appartements, Projects and Savoir-Faire. Use one promenade as the spine of the day and add only one detour. Appartements opens normally private interiors; Savoir-Faire focuses on craft and workshops; Design à table links objects, materials and food culture.

04

Factory: more than 150 emerging designers, 10–14 September

Paris Design Week Factory brings together more than 150 emerging designers in four galleries from 10 to 14 September. Exhibition access is advertised as free, with simple registration required to smooth entry. It is the clearest starting point for seeing new work without racing across the city. Book through the official link, keep the confirmation and spend the rest of the day in the Marais instead of crossing to the Left Bank.

05

16 September: five sessions at the hunting museum

The Design Conversations take place on Wednesday 16 September from 1 pm to 6 pm at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature. The programme combines a special Andrée Putman screening with four talks on the story of French design, territories, collectible design and what comes next. Entry is free with advance registration and each session is capped at 100 people. A general sign-up does not replace checking the exact session shown on your confirmation.

06

The installations worth putting first

The 2026 announcements already provide useful anchors: the Pavilion of Time in the Palais-Royal Garden, La Re-prise de la Bastille and its 196 flags, Vivement Demain #5 at Mobilier National, Uchronia’s Le Grand Bouquet at the Grand Palais and the new Appartements trail. These names help shape a shortlist; they do not promise permanent access. Individual venues may apply their own dates, capacity limits or registration rules.

07

Maison&Objet or Paris Design Week?

Paris Design Week runs across Paris from 10 to 19 September and welcomes enthusiasts as well as professionals at distributed venues. Maison&Objet is the associated trade fair, held from 10 to 14 September at Paris Nord Villepinte. For a cultural city break, focus on Design Week. For product sourcing, brand meetings or professional interior and architecture work, confirm trade eligibility, badge and entry conditions before booking travel or accommodation.

08

A visit plan that prevents avoidable surprises

Save favourites on the official programme first, then sort them by district rather than popularity. Keep offline copies of addresses, time slots and registration confirmations; bring comfortable shoes and a power bank. The metro connects districts, but walking and entry queues quickly consume any saved time. On the morning of the visit, recheck opening hours, launch-night restrictions and capacity. The next decisive date is 10 September, when Design Week and Factory open.
