Alhambra: motif and scale
Alhambra appears in necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings and watches, across sizes and materials. Repetition changes movement and presence; a single motif does not serve the same use as a long necklace. Try from normal distance with your actual necklines, not only in close-up.
Ornamental stones
Mother-of-pearl, malachite, onyx, carnelian and other materials vary naturally and differ in resistance to water, chemicals, impact and heat. Ask for guidance on the exact stone. Veining may add character without being a defect, but cracks and repairs are different matters.
Mystery Set and high jewellery
Mystery Set makes the supporting metal nearly disappear so stones form a continuous surface. This technique belongs to a different level of complexity and service from serial jewellery. Do not automatically transfer its prestige to every product; examine design, material and finish of the actual reference.
Size, length and movement
Measure bracelet and chain with movement, clothing and layering in mind. A long chain may catch, while a loose bracelet adds impacts. Ask what sizing is possible, timing and effects on symmetry and motif count. Not every modification is reversible.
Resale and care
In resale, check provenance, hallmarks, stone consistency, clasp, chain, repairs and returns. A replaced stone may change appearance and value; request service records. Store separately, avoid fragrance and household products, and follow house guidance rather than one universal cleaning recipe.
