Most asked questions
What is the easiest way from Orly to Paris?
Metro 14 runs directly from Aéroport d'Orly station at Terminal 3. Orlyval-RER B, T7 or taxi are alternatives when the route or disruption requires them.
Which Orly terminal has Metro 14?
Aéroport d'Orly Metro 14 station is at Terminal 3; follow airport signs from the other terminal zones.
How do you transfer from Orly to CDG?
Use Metro 14 to Châtelet and RER B to CDG. This is a cross-city trip, not a terminal shuttle, so allow a large buffer.
Orly 1-2-3 and Orly 4
Orly operates as a connected complex, but distances still matter. Check departure zone, gate and airline desk. The Aéroport d'Orly station on Metro 14 is at Terminal 3; follow signs from other zones and add walking time with luggage.
Metro 14: the main route
Metro 14 links Orly directly with central Paris in roughly 25 to 35 minutes depending on the station, including Gare de Lyon, Châtelet and Saint-Denis Pleyel. Paris Aéroport lists normal operation around 5:30am to midnight; works and closures can change this, so open the live traffic page before leaving.

Orlyval, RER B and tram T7
Orlyval links the terminals with Antony for RER B and also provides free travel between Orly 1-2-3 and Orly 4 within the airport. Tram T7 is a slower route towards Villejuif-Louis Aragon. Metro 14 is often simplest; Orlyval or T7 can suit a particular address, disruption or network connection.
Orly-CDG without false shortcuts
The clearest public route uses Metro 14 to Châtelet and then RER B to CDG. It remains a cross-city transfer with walking, baggage and disruption risk, not a terminal shuttle. Verify entry rights, baggage collection and a new check-in before accepting this connection.
Taxi and late-night arrival
Use only the official taxi rank or the assigned ride-hail point. A post-transit arrival must account for baggage, queues and the exact destination. Compare the official Paris flat fare with a nearby hotel if the next train or flight leaves very early.
A low-stress departure
Confirm terminal and gate on the day, then add the walk from Metro 14, bag drop and controls. A metro incident can force Orlyval, T7, bus or taxi; keep a known second route rather than a minute-perfect plan.
