Programme choices · checked 1 October 2026
The official calendar covers 10–18 October. It lists Joel and Ethan Coen for the Lumière Prize, Chaplin and Clara Bow cine-concerts, and meetings at the cinema village. Choose a screening and its venue from the daily calendar first, then check language, booking and the route: an announced appearance does not guarantee tickets remain available.

Tickets and booking
Accreditation and a screening ticket are not interchangeable. Major events and smaller cinemas can fill: set one priority and two nearby alternatives.
Venue, access and constraints
The 2026 Cinema Village moves to Grand Hôtel-Dieu, while Institut Lumière and metropolitan cinemas remain dispersed. Check the address and door-to-door time, not just the word Lyon.
Who it suits
Ideal for cinephiles, families drawn to cine-concerts and travellers interested in Lyon as a film city. A first visit is better with one central screening plus Institut Lumière, not five cinemas.
Trip impact
Place fixed screenings first, then add Vieux Lyon, Presqu’île or Halles Paul Bocuse by area. Leave at least 45 minutes between unfamiliar venues.
Final check
Films, guests, versions, classifications, venues and availability change. Recheck the screening, language and venue the day before and on the day.
