What happened
From 6 July to 23 August, the competition brought together about 2,000 players, 200 clubs and more than 100 countries. This FRA9 file is dated 24 August 2026 and is based on Ministère des Sports, the reference source listed at the end of the page.
The key markers
2 000 joueurs · 200 clubs · 100+ pays · Paris: these markers define the announcement’s immediate scope. A sporting event is simultaneously a competition, venue, timetable, ticketing system and transport plan. They should be read together rather than reducing the story to one number or name.
Why it matters
The event confirms the overlap of sport, digital culture, live entertainment and urban tourism. The practical issue is therefore not the headline alone, but how the measure, figure or event changes an actual decision.
Who is affected?
Supporters, residents, clubs, volunteers, broadcasters and local transport are affected at different times. Nationality, residence, status, age or the date of a case may still change an individual answer.
What to verify
Confirm session, ticket category, entrance, venue rules and return; do not infer the finish time from the advertised start alone. Keep the official address and any useful confirmation; old screenshots and secondary posts can remain online after an update.
What comes next
The next announced French landmark is EVO France in Nice in October 2026. Follow the next checkpoint on Ministère des Sports; if timing or rules change, that source should be checked before spending money or submitting anything.
