Skincare routine: build three useful steps
A restrained method to cleanse, moisturise and protect without stacking actives or turning care into collecting.

The three-step base
For many people, a clear routine begins with suitable cleansing, a comfortable moisturiser and daytime sunscreen. This base lets you observe skin without multiplying variables. Morning may be shorter than evening; consistency, correct amount and tolerance matter more than the number of bottles on display.
Add one objective
Once the base is stable, choose one goal—texture, marks, dryness or comfort, for example. Introduce one product at a time according to its label and allow enough time to notice a reaction. Stacking acids, retinoids or exfoliants because they are popular increases confusion and may increase irritation.
Test without improvising
Read precautions, frequency, application area and period after opening. A small local test may reveal immediate incompatibility but cannot guarantee no later reaction. Stop a product that causes significant discomfort and seek advice if symptoms persist. General guidance does not replace diagnosis.
Travel and climate change
Paris, flights, heated hotels and long days may change skin comfort. Do not introduce five new products at the start of a trip. Bring products already tolerated, follow baggage rules and protect bottles from heat. A richer or lighter texture may be enough without rebuilding the entire routine.
When to seek advice
Pain, swelling, widespread reaction, suspected infection, persistent worsening or eye-area problems need professional advice. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, medical treatment and skin disease may also change choices. A beauty routine should remain a tool for comfort and protection, never a reason to delay appropriate care.
