The 2026 Sport Pass returns at €50 and brings back ages 6–13

For the 2026–27 season, France’s Sport Pass gives an immediate €50 reduction on a sports membership or licence. The major change is the return of children aged 6–13, who were outside the previous scheme. Access for all 6–17-year-olds now depends on a CAF or MSA family quotient of €699 or less. The decree dated 28 August 2026 took effect the day after publication.

Who qualifies in 2026–27?

There are four routes: young people aged 6–17 in a household with a CAF or MSA family quotient no higher than €699; people aged 6–19 receiving AEEH disability support; people aged 16–30 receiving AAH; and students no older than 28 receiving a means-tested higher-education grant, annual Crous support or a regional health-and-social-care grant awarded before 15 October 2026.

03

Where to find the €699 family quotient

The family quotient is not the same as taxable reference income or monthly salary. For the CAF/MSA route, open the relevant benefit account and check that the displayed quotient is €699 or below. The decree assesses this condition during the period from 1 August to 31 December 2026. If the figure looks outdated after an income or household change, have the body that calculates it update the case first.

04

The club applies the discount; no cash is paid to the family

The beneficiary gives the individual code to a participating club or gym. The organisation deducts €50 from the membership or licence and later claims reimbursement from the state. The pass is personal, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. If registration costs less than €50, the organisation must still use the balance for the young person, for example through equipment or club clothing.

05

Codes are due by email in mid-September

CAF, MSA and Crous provide the necessary data and the individual code is sent automatically to the email address held by the partner body. Each eligible minor child receives a separate message, so check spam folders too. If a code is missing or lost, use only pass.sports.gouv.fr to check eligibility or request it. Applications submitted or completed after 31 December 2026 are not accepted.

06

Clubs, associations, climbing and fitness operators may take part

The pass works at clubs affiliated to an approved sports federation, excluding school federations, approved sports associations, eligible youth and popular-education bodies and certain commercial sport and leisure operators. A climbing or fitness centre may therefore accept it if it meets the rules and signs the charter. The official map lists more than 85,000 clubs and gyms, although a participating venue may not yet appear.

07

The campaign covers registrations from 1 September to 31 December

The code can be used for a membership or licence effective between 1 September and 31 December 2026. Ask the organisation whether it takes the pass before paying, then present the code during registration. An earlier purchase, a school federation or a non-participating operator does not become eligible automatically. Keep the email and a receipt showing that the €50 reduction was applied.

08

An equipment payment is planned for the first quarter of 2027

The Sports Ministry says France’s family-benefit fund will provide additional support in the first quarter of 2027 to CAF-supported 6–17-year-olds who activated their Sport Pass at the start of the 2026 school year. It is intended to help with sports equipment. The official page does not yet give the amount or full procedure, so do not include it as guaranteed cash in the family budget.

09

The safest route in five checks

First confirm the qualifying age or status, then the family quotient when using the CAF/MSA route. Check the email address held in the relevant account, locate a club on the official map and ask whether it accepts the scheme. Present the code before payment and confirm the €50 deduction. The next milestone is the mid-September code email; the absolute deadline remains 31 December 2026.
