What is confirmed
From 10 to 18 October, the festival spreads across about fifty metropolitan venues. Heritage screenings, premieres, talks, all-nighters and cine-concerts have different durations and seating logic.
Tickets and booking
Accreditation and a screening ticket are not interchangeable. Major events and smaller cinemas can fill: set one priority and two nearby alternatives.
Venue, access and constraints
The 2026 Cinema Village moves to Grand Hôtel-Dieu, while Institut Lumière and metropolitan cinemas remain dispersed. Check the address and door-to-door time, not just the word Lyon.
Who it suits
Ideal for cinephiles, families drawn to cine-concerts and travellers interested in Lyon as a film city. A first visit is better with one central screening plus Institut Lumière, not five cinemas.
Trip impact
Place fixed screenings first, then add Vieux Lyon, Presqu’île or Halles Paul Bocuse by area. Leave at least 45 minutes between unfamiliar venues.
