September’s transfer is sent on Friday the 4th
CAF sends banks the payment covering August 2026 entitlements on Friday 4 September. The usual date is the 5th, but 5 September falls on a Saturday, so the national calendar moves the instruction to the preceding working day. This is CAF’s payment-initiation date, not a promise that every bank account will display the money at the same moment.
August or September: know which entitlement month is paid
The transfer initiated on 4 September covers benefits due for August. September entitlements are scheduled to be sent on Monday 5 October 2026. This distinction prevents confusion between the month in which money reaches an account and the entitlement month it covers. It applies to benefits including family allowances, housing support, RSA, the activity bonus and AAH when entitlement is open.
Allow up to three working days for the bank entry
After CAF sends the payment, it may take up to three working days to appear, depending on the bank. An account that is not credited on Friday the 4th is therefore not automatically late. The weekend of 5–6 September is not made up of ordinary bank working days; check the payment record in CAF – Mon Compte and any incoming transfer shown by the bank.
The right checking order when money has not appeared
Start in CAF – Mon Compte and confirm that a payment is recorded, including its amount, date and destination bank account. Then check the IBAN and any notification or requested document in the case. If CAF records a payment but the bank still does not show it after the stated window, ask the bank first. If there is no CAF payment or the amount differs, contact CAF through an official channel.
A different amount is a calculation issue, not a calendar issue
The calendar sets a common initiation date, not the same amount for every recipient. A quarterly declaration or a change in income, home, couple status or dependants can alter entitlement once processed. Recovery of an overpayment, an adjustment or housing support paid directly to a landlord may also change the bank credit. The case details take priority over an estimate or last month’s amount.
Bank or household changes: use the official domain
After changing bank account, compare the IBAN displayed in Mon Compte with the account meant to receive the transfer. Report a move, separation, return to work or a new child promptly because CAF calculates rights from the information it holds. Never use a link received by text or social media to alter bank details: type caf.fr yourself or open the official CAF – Mon Compte app.
The rest of the 2026 payment calendar
After 4 September, the national schedule shows Monday 5 October for September entitlements, Thursday 5 November for October and Friday 4 December for November. December 2026 entitlements are due to be sent on Tuesday 5 January 2027. On each occasion, the receiving bank’s processing time may push back the date visible on the account.
CAF or MSA: check which body actually manages the case
This calendar is published by CAF. People covered by France’s agricultural social-security regime manage their case with MSA and should check its official account for the relevant payment. A pending application, transfer between local funds or first entitlement does not guarantee an entry on the general monthly date; only the individual case confirms that a payment instruction exists.
