A highly low-carbon system
More than 95% of French electricity production was low carbon in 2025. Nuclear remains central, with wind, solar and hydro adding flexibility.
The next challenge
Exports alone do not solve grid, storage or transport and industry electrification needs. The next question is whether investment can absorb abundant production.
